<p>I sent them the form because I recieved a D in a calculus class this spring. I am just wondering how the revocation process works. How long and How do they get back to you...via email? mail? My story about why I received this D is under Revoked?? please read and let me know your opionions...PLEASE!!</p>
<p>also…do you guys know the reasons for why they do NOT revoke people vs. why they DO revoke people and the statistics revocations?</p>
<p>I filled out the grade issue form letting them I got a D+ in a class and emailed to them on the 21st of June. And I got the letter revoking my acceptance on the 29th (it was postmarked the 24th). In my case they replied quite fast.</p>

<p>Seems the only thing you can do at this point is send an appeal. Apparently, if you get a D in any class, it is most likely you will get rescinded. However, UCSC does not seem to rescind people who have received a GPA lower than 3.0.</p>
<p>In my case I got a D in ochem last year and within a few days after turning in my official transcripts, I was given an email saying that my admission may be revoked and then a few more days later they emailed me saying my admission was revoked. On the same day, they updated the admission status secion of my ucsc myportal account confirming that and then a week later I also got a letter.</p>
<p>The good news is that I retook the class and got an A so I was readmitted for this Fall so you should at least have hope. Last year, I talked with one of the people in charge of admissions asking if I could appeal and he said that there was no chance, that I should take the class again and reapply. He said the university always enforces this rule about no D’s during the Fall-Spring before you get accepted but he also said that having your admission revoked at some point does not affect your chances of being admitted to any UC later on. That seems to be true since I also was accepted to Irvine, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz for Fall 2011 (decided to go to UCSC since it’s closer to home).</p>
<p>I’d recommend that you just retake the class and buckle down with your studies for the next year so you can reapply to UC’s. The good thing is that when you do eventually go to UC, you’re essentially starting from a clean slate so any D’s you had to make up on your community college transcripts won’t come back to haunt you.</p>
<p>o thats good to hear that you got accepted again. I got good news however and my admissions was not revoked…yay!! so I will be attending this fall.</p>

<p>My son’s admission was rescinded in June. He realized that he had taken the wrong science class in his senior year (his HS counselor gave him bad advice) so, he ended up short in the biological science category requirements for a UC. He was in a middle college program where he attended a JC during his junior and senior HS years and took college classes along with his HS classes. He had completed over 40 transferable college units so, I thought he might have a chance at in the appeal.</p>
<p>He emailed the school’s admissions dept. and sure enough, they weren’t going to allow him to attend this fall. He appealed and even had his counselor write a letter. No go…He also spoke to the admissions dean, and he wouldn’t change their decision. The whole appeal process took about 2 weeks. He found out the day of his HS graduation that he was denied. Needless to say, he was very disappointed.</p>
<p>He also got into CalPoly-SLO, but was so set on going to UCSC, that he’s decided just to attend Cabrillo CC and transfer next fall '11.</p>
