My school is offering a Revolution prep for free. This course has 4-5 practice test but I never heard of Revolution Prep. Does anybody know how this course is? If it sucks then please tell me so I don't waste my time

The program is quite good. The instructors are college students who have had recent hands-on test taking experience, and who have done extremely well is the SAT/ACT. The teacher who ran the course with which I’m familiar was a Stanford junior. She related well to the students in the class and was generally helpful.

The practice tests are good. They are graded quickly. The group dynamics for the course is helpful in that you learn from other students, and in that it forces a high level of focus and commitment to do well.

Don’t expect much for essay preparation however. And as always complement the course with additional practice – especially using College Board tests.

Their validity is rather questionable. My school newspaper ran an article on them:

[Revolution Prep’s mock tests’ integrity under fire (10/08)](http://thelowell.org/component/content/article/33-news/2702-revolution-preps-mock-tests-integrity-under-fire-1008)

In addition to that article, I also took a practice ACT from them. I never received my score, even after multiple attempts at contacting them. In the end they replied that there was a system malfunction.

Make what you will of it.

Thanks for telling me thesmiter.
Now I realize that RP sucks!

^ Looks like you already had your opinion set before posting this thread, seeing as you haven’t even considered fogcity’s opinion, which holds a great deal of value on this forum.
