Rhetoric, Philosophy and Legal Studies

I'm planning on going to Law School, so GPA will be important.
I'm a transfer student who had a 4.0 in my CC, but I know that at Cal it will be MUCH harder to keep up on the same level.
I'm a student whose first language is not English. So it takes me at least x3 more time to study and understand materials taught. I also like to go to office hours and study groups.
The right class and professor would help me get As at Cal.

If there are any LS or Phil courses that you would call "GPA boosters", please, let me know.

Also, if you could recommend caring and personable professors who actually show up to their office hours - I'd appreciate your help a lot!

Please, help :)

thanks

somebody? please? lol

for the part of your question concerning professors and office hours, the vast majority are there at office hours and wish that more students would visit, the attitudes are welcoming. They love their subject and hope they can infect others with the same passion. Even if some show a kind of bored attitude, usually they are helpful and willing to talk.

do you have any concrete examples/suggestions?
