Not sure why she didn’t get in but the art is outstanding and competition was tough! Her GPA was a bit low but within the range that they tend to look (2nd semester Sophomore and onward) she did well. D’s happy with her other choices which are Pratt, MICA, and MCAD. This was actually the only school she didn’t get into - everything else, including two university programs, offered her scholarship money. She’ll be great whichever program she does choose.

to be honest i’m really glad i wasn’t accepted because risd was my top choice for a while because of prestige but i realized like two weeks ago that i didn’t actually wanna go. i really want to go to ucla bc the desma program is great and the location is ideal for me (warm and lots of internships) and i can double major in communications, and not getting into risd makes my decision wayyy easier. congrats to everyone that got in!!!
