Rice- Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations.
U of Michigan (in-state)- Anthropology.

Oberlin- Anthropology.
Beloit- Anthropology.

Thanks all. Long post, sorry. =].

Romani:
Absolutely do Questbridge! My son was a finalist and it was an amazing experience for him. Even if you are not matched, it is a wonderful opportunity for you to apply to a number of excellent schools without paying all the app. fees.

I am. I just haven't exactly decided which schools I'm applying too through Questbridge.

But thank you =].

you should get into them. to make it more certain, you should try to improve your test scores. also, have you thought about what you want to do later in life after college?

EDIT:
also when you fill out your actual college apps/resume, separate your activities into clubs/organizations, work experience, and volunteering. if you can try to refrain from listing events in your resume. right now your resume is a bit too cluttered and to be honest i thought it was going to be poor since it looks like one of those "resumes" that typical overachievers puts together. after i read it, though, i saw that all you have a genuine interest in all of your activities; just make sure you convey that in the presentation/organization of your resume.

I'm probably going to end up going to law school and be a children's right attorney. I'm not sure yet though.

My test scores were my first try. I am taking the SAT and MME/ACT both in March.

Plus I have a bunch of SAT IIs to do at the end of the year.

i'm glad to here that. just make sure that even though you don't need to be rich, whatever you end up doing should pay enough so that you can pay off the debt you'll rack up in college/graduate school. nothing is worse than seeing those kids who go off to Harvard/other good schools to major in poetry/etc. and then struggle a good portion of their adult lives to pay off their debts.

also, i added more to my first post check it out.

Lol, I didn't know what to put so I put everything. I'll make a much more condensed list.

How's this:

-Started a nonprofit innercity basketball league close to Detroit for girls. It's been successful. (Started when I was 12, been going for 5 years.) [Most important thing to me.]
-Theater (10-12). Over 200 tech hours by graduation.
-Cofounded Save The Bullies (organization that helps stop BSL and helps save dogs of the Pit Bull breed.) (11-12).

Probably about 400 hours of community service (at least) so far since the beginning of freshman year.

Oh haha I totally misread what you said. Yeah but the ones I listed above are the ones I am going to focus on in my application.

Bumppp... please help.
Any suggestions would be great too.

I think you should get into Oberlin, Beloit, and Ablion. U of Mich and Rice might be a reach. I am not sure if that is accurate, but that is my view on it!

I think it would help by raising your ACT/ SAT II scores to perhaps:
a 32-33/ 700-760 ; it may seem like sdhfhsdjfinsane, but i'm sure you can pull it off ;)

also, your service hours/clubs/etc are amazing!

Essays will help a lot. Make sure you write about what you learned from your situation/ how it can help other + how it changed you and compared to the "common kid" who has a 4.0UW without going through "life"

Since your grades before junior yr are great, I tihnk they'll understand [they SHOULD] tht junior yr was out of your control.

However, try to do the best you can for 2nd semester

I dont know much about the other schools, but if you improve your ACT, your slight reach for umich can be a very very good chance. Slight reach [before] because of your GPA, but then again, you have a very good reason.

I think you're set :)

[not sure about RIce, etc. I dont know much about them]
