<p>I applied also, and to pvtejasvi, you have to get in first to be eligible for interview and selection and considering you got deferred, your chances are almost zero (just like the rest of us, haha).</p>

<p>Interviews are in April. They choose 50 kids for the interview and narrow it down to 14.</p>
<p>Quick question: When you go to your Common App page, does it show that Rice has downloaded your supplement? Also, have any of you received any kind of confirmation from Rice?</p>

<p>Btw, I turned my supplement in on 1/1/2009. They just downloaded it after the deadline.</p>
<p>I called Rice a couple of weeks ago and they say they will send us a login/pin in a couple of weeks to track our application. If anything is missing (excluding common application, supplements, and signature page), they will give you time to turn it in.</p>
<p>Also, Rice gave everyone who was affect by Ike some time to turn in their midyear reports.
(Our school was two weeks behind) :P</p>

<p>Yes. They won't pick those until late March/early April</p>

<p>Please use your brain and interpret that they will announce it until April.
Remember that you have to get INTO Rice to even be considered for this. So Rice has make a decision before they transfer your file to Baylor.</p>
<p>If you want to make sure Rice received your R/B app (which is a very reasonable question) call Admissions on Monday. I'm sure someone would happily confirm your application is in the file.</p>

<p>I don't suppose anyone has heard anything about interviews for Rice/Baylor? Someone told me that by this time last year, the 50 or so semi-finalists had already been notified and had an interview scheduled with Baylor.</p>
<p>Obviously, you have to get into Rice first to be considered, so I don't know if all of RD Rice admissions were processed earlier last year or if they just let the Rice/Baylor people know that they were in sooner than everyone else, like maybe through likely letters, or just by the fact that they were being considered for Rice/Baylor.</p>
