When I decided to apply RD to Rice, I filled out a form to request an interview, even before completing my application, because the deadline to ask for an interview was something like Nov 15th or Dec 15th.

However, I never heard back or got an interview.

What does that mean for my chances of acceptance (or does it not mean anything at all)?

Don’t worry, I don’t think the interview matters that much. Other things are much more important!

Doesn’t mean anything, don’t worry. The same thing happened to me for Bowdoin. :P

I had my interview way back in December, but I haven’t had them for most of my colleges.

interviews are not a big part in the application process, and it won’t really hurt you if you did not interview.

my interview was on campus and very informal, and i doubt it really counts for much. it’s just an opportunity for them to sort of put a face on the applicant, not really to evaluate
