Rice Laptops

I'm planning on bringing my laptop to Rice, and running Windows 7 on it. The IT people I emailed said that they would run a scan on my laptop for security. I'm curious as to how this will work, and how deeply they will scan. Should I remove any personal files before going? Thanks for the help all those who reply.

No need to remove personal files. It just means that if you have a Windows machine at Rice you have to install PC-Cillin, an anti-virus program.

They have gotten strict about illegal downloading, on a side note

but you will install PC Cillin as an anti virus, also your computer will have cisco clean access. This is so that if you get infected, your computer can be quarantined till it is fixed
