hey i have got waitlisted in Rice for bioengineering for 2009. I have also got through Umich for the same course. I am an undergraduate transfer student, transferring in the junior level. generally how many waitlisted students clear ?? did any1 else get waitlisted in rice ??
also, guys please help me choose between rice and umich. I feel rice is a better university but Umich is better ranked for my course according to USNews

Call the school and ask.

dey r saying they dont know how many ppl will be waitlisted untill dey have confirmation from everyone, which will be quite late for me to take my decision… so does anyone know the general trend for rice waiting list

have faith, i’m rejecting my acceptance

(Accepted as a Rice transfer.) Go to Rice, unless UMich is significantly cheaper.

Does anyone here know how many people they have on the transfer waitlist? Bah, I really wish I can get in. :/

One more out of the College of Science. It’s Cornell or Chicago for me. Hope you get my spot b^_^d

Michigan has a GREAT engineering program! I know many people who rejected Uni of Va to attend Michigan for the engineering program.I can’t really tell you much about Rice’s program since I did not look into Rice’s program.

Keep hanging in there, it’ll come through.

I am also a waitlisted Rice applicant, and I have no idea what I should do to be taken off the list and accepted. I am applying as a linguistics major

I was also waitlisted. I called I sent them a letter saying that I would like to go there. I called them and they said they don’t have size of waiting list, they would let students know by July 1.

has anyone received any updates regarding their waitlist status??

Yes, I received a letter. I still have to remain on teh waiting list

Considering how it’s July already, has anyone heard anything from Rice yet?
