Rice University Essay...About rice (kind of)

<p>Rice's prompt is:
The quality of Rice's academic life and the Residential College System are heavily influenced by the unique life experiences and cultural traditions each student brings. What perspective do you feel that you will contribute to life at Rice? </p>

<p>I have an essay that I think might work for this prompt, but I'm not sure. It's something I wrote for the HYP supplements. I relate a unique experience I had and what I gained from it, but it doesn't explicitly answer the question asked in Rice's prompt. Also, the topic is about actual rice...I don't know how Rice adcoms will see that. </p>

<p>Anyone willing to take a look to see if it fits the prompt?</p>

<p>I’ll look at it, I’m applying to rice as well. Hey, you can even make a statement and be like, “While I know that Rice university was not actually named for the grain, I did have an experience that…” etc or something like that</p>

<p>I used an essay that i wrote for another prompt as well and i’m not sure if it even fits, but rice’s prompt is so broad that you basically just have to write about something that is unique to you. at least i’m hoping :)</p>
