During ED in December there was no announcement. Decisions were posted at 5 pm EST and within moments people started reporting their own decisions on the ED thread on this site.
I am waiting for CMU. In for GA tech, Texas A & M, Purdue and Minnesota.
I haven’t been on this thread in a few days, but is the general consensus still that decisions are going to be posted tomorrow?
Can someone give a brief overview as to why everyone thinks the decision comes out tomorrow? Thanks! For some reason I had guessed that the date was a few days later, not really sure why.
^^^ also want to know
I think it’s just because they usually release decisions the Friday before April 1st? Although April 1st itself is on a Friday this year, so I’m not sure.
Yeah I’ve heard that NYU is releasing April 1, but I think it’s a bad idea for schools bc they’ll kind of be overshadowed by the excitement of ivy decisions - fingers crossed for tomorrow!!! Any ideas for times?
I hope they release it tomorrow >.<
@nonetaken Schools like Stanford have openly admitted to not be “need-blind” when it comes to us, international applicants And from what I have heard from a couple of people, although the admissions are need-blind for US applicants, it is not the case for international applicants, even if they claim to be so. (Except maybe Harvard, who cash in a lot of money just because they can )
@blazedragon only 5 schools claim to be need-blind for internationals (harvard, yale, princeton, mit, amherst). So essentially every other college is NOT need-blind for internationals, do not assume that policies for domestic students apply to internationals.
don’t mean to be harsh, i’m an international too… just stating the facts
Since I’m applying to Rice/Baylor, I was calling Baylor to ask about some stuff, and they said it would be on the 25th, today–at least, that’s what I understood!
Good luck to everyone!!
So @agirlinasweater Baylor admissions was open at 7:30 am?
Or did you call yesterday?
does anyone know if rice announced when they were releasing decision last year? or did they just release them out of no where
I just tweeted them and they said they will be released no later than April 1st…
@Inspirefly From last year’s thread it seems they were not notified prior to receiving the decisions.
@limitdoesntexist okay, thanks for letting me know
So, University of Rochester will release some of the decisions today & there is this possibility that Rice will also release them as well. I am freaking out right now!!!
Around what time were decisions released in previous years?
@graceann 5 eastern
Thanks! @importan
