Richmond: CONSERVATIVE?

<p>I've been accepted to URichmond, and I'm really happy. I'm actually visiting in about a week. I'm hoping that the campus is what they say it is, very very very picturesque and gorgeous.</p>

<p>One question: I've been talking to my friends and they say that URichmond is very conservative and drenched with Republicans, which isn't a bad thing. It definitely won't affect my decision, but could someone confirm/deny this rumor? Coming from the historically Democratic CT, I'm really just curious.</p>

<p>The part of Virginia that UR is in is historically conservative and Republican. But I have heard that there is a good population of democrats/liberals on campus. As for acutal political involvement, UR students are not known to be highly involved. Or at least that is what I have heard.</p>
