Richmond EA Class of 2023

Does anyone know when we will hear back by? I know January but anything more specific?

@carshoes227 i’m pretty sure it’s by january 25th :slight_smile:

Thank you!! @abirman91

Does anyone think living in California could increase my chances of admission? I know the school has a relatively low percentage of students from the west coast.

I would definitely think so. It seems like every college tour we did in our own state was all about wanting students from elsewhere!

Does anyone know if they superscore the ACT?

Loved the mailer they sent today (and no, it doesn’t have an admissions answer). It’s one of my favorite college mailings!

@TS0104 We loved it too, and the “caveat” even got a laugh out of my stressed daughter.

@testscores they don’t

I liked the mailer too. It was strange though -they sent it to my D at school not home- one of the deans had to track her down in a class to give it to her. I don’t know how they mixed up the address because we have received other mail from them at home.

I know they’ll be here by the 25th but I read that last year they sent them out on the 14th.
Maybe this year they’ll arrive earlier too??

I´m hoping so. I´m also from CA with decent stats so hopefully I get in. Best of luck everyone!

Last years rmthread had them mailed on 1/19

Any people applying from the North East? Wondering how the acceptance pool has been for those students? My Daughter is a 3.9 GPA unweighted out of 4.0. 1390 GPA AP and Honors classes High Honors every year, host of clubs, sports, community service, leadership, peer leader and school gov’t. Already heard from Furman who gave her a ton of merit as well as Elon who did not. Funny how different schools rate students on what they give. Does anyone know how generous or not generous U Richmond is?

My D also is from the NOrth East (legacy) my husband went there . My nephews go there now and got no money at all (and they were legacy’s too). Here to hoping they give some money

My S is from the northeast also. I get the impression that Richmond gives very little merit aid. I read on a thread that they’ve cut the number in merit aid scholarships and it is very competitive to get one.
28% mid-Atlantic, 12% New England for last year’s class acceptances.
When we did our tour, like 90% of students were from New Jersey - as was our tour guide.

This year’s student profile states that 1/12 enrolled students received merit aid. Last year’s statistic was 1/9.

So excited to hear the news!
Does the january 25th on the website mean mailed by the 25th, or mail received by the 25th?

Last year it was received by the 25th.

I heard that it will come by the end of this week
