Has anyone received details about Ride the Tide? My d was admitted edI but has not received any info about Ride the Tide. She's debating whether to go ... Anyone from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky planning to attend? or from further away?

I'm from California and I'm planning to attend. It seems as if the ED people haven't received any news about it yet, but the early writes have.

Yeah, we EDs have unfortunately gotten nothing, which is bizarre, but whatever. :/ We were told we'd be getting stuff by the end of March though, so we'll all be registering as soon as possible once we get our packets. :]

There'll be plenty of people from all over - if your daughter's an ED1, this is really the only event that'll tide her over (no pun intended!) until orientation, and if she's like most ED1s, waiting just until Ride the Tide is hard enough...waiting longer would be really difficult! It's up to you guys though, obviously - hope she ends up deciding to come. :]

If any of the Early Write folks have the Ride the Tide dates, you might post them here. It might help some EDers get discount airfares.

RtT is Thursday, April 19 to Friday, April 20.

I called the Admissions Office yesterday and here is what the person who answered the phone told me: Ride the Tide "welcome" is 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, but participants can arrive earlier and register starting at 9 a.m. "Check out" is 11 a.m. on Friday and participants should be off campus no later than 3:30 pm (this is the same restriction they give to over-nighters). If any of the "early writes" has a more complete schedule, please post.

The EDs should be getting their packets sometime after the 27th of March, apparently. The admissions office said they were finishing all the RD packets in general by that date, and then they would start on the ED packets, so hopefully we'll be getting info on paper about it sometime in the first week of April.
