Ridiculous Transcript Issue

Hey all - thanks for your opinions in advance:

I have a slight problem with my transcripts. At my school, an H goes after a grade to denote an honors class. However, if I get a + grade (for some reason this is not true with - grades), part of the H is cut off and the H is illegible.

My school has no way to fix this using the transcript system they are using. They currently say that they write in the other part of the H's to make them legible. I am not sure that they actually do this, as they are not terribly reliable and have been the cause of rejections due to document mix-ups in the past.

However, assuming they do write part of the H's in, what will colleges think? Will they suspect forgery / document changes because of the hand-written portion? I am worried that colleges will be suspicious of my transcripts.

Also - does anyone have any suggestions for creative ways to fix this problem (no, stop taking honors classes is not a good option)?

Thanks.

That's a really silly policy. Contact the schools you are applying to immediately and speak with them

Lucky for me, I'm a junior and have some time. Do other people agree that the best fix would just be to write a note to schools explaining the problem?

definitely.

Definitely, send them a note about the time your transcripts get sent from the school. Might also just want to list the honors classes you've taken that will appear on the transcript with that defect.

Do these go for the official transcripts (the ones with the watermarks)? Or just with unofficial ones?

Official, unfortunately.
