Considering University of Vermont. Loved the tour and love the town. Can a good student (high SAT and 4.0 GPA in high school) be challenged at the humanities school?
Depends on what you go for, but I know someone who does there for biology/pre-med and is going to Johns Hopkins medical school this coming year. I don’t think you can get into JHU without being challenged lol. Great school and campus though, I’ve been a few times and it’s gorgeous in the fall.
Absolutely! UVM has great, experiential learning opportunities with strong academics. Even if you are in the College of Arts and Sciences, you are still able to take classes in any of the other 6 schools. Also, if you are an academically strong student, you may be invited to join the Honors College. UVM’s honors college is highly competitive and has a variety of course offerings. The HC helps students grow as scholars and critical thinkers.
