Hello! I will be a rising junior next year in high school, and have started thinking seriously about colleges. I take my education very seriously, and want to get into the best institution I can. I am thinking about studying a social science or more generally some form of a liberal art area. Anyway, I was hoping I could describe my current situation and get some advice as to what I should focus on in the coming years? Ideally, I would even like to shoot for Ivy Leauge admission
My GPA may be my weaker point,
Freshman year I got a 3.75 UW
Sophomore year I got a 3.72 UW
I took my ACT my freshman year and scored a 30, I plan to take a SAT and SAT subjects, and possibly my ACT again if it would help?
I attend a boarding arts school, one of the most prestigious in the nation, and I have and will surely have a much larger artistic resume is many different art areas. I am not a prodigy in one particular art area, but am very experienced and well rounded in many.
I’m doing a precollege program currently at BU, taking 8 college credits, and plan to do something similar next summer. My school does offer very few AP courses, and no honors courses, but it is academically rigorous and respected. I am taking AP calc and stats at my school my junior and senior year respectively, am currently taking AP Psych online, and plan to take at least one more AP course online in my next two years.
If more information would be helpful, let me know, but what do you think I should focus on to increase my resume in the next few years?
