Realistically, do I have a chance at the UCs above the UCSC tier (Davis, Irvine, SB, SD)? Applying for majors such as business, physics, aerospace engineering, or computer science.

What are you actually applying for at each school? To increase your chances, don’t do Comp Sci at UCI, or Engineering at UCSD, those 2 are pretty hard to get into, along with possibly UCSB engineering.

Could you possibly retake the SAT again? A 2100-2200~ will do wonders for your application.

You may have a chance, but it would be a somewhat reach situation. I feel that there is no area that shines, although your essay can change that

I had a lower GPA than you and got into UCLA along with Davis, UCI (honors), and SB. You have a couple of months to get higher test scores… practice all summer and try multiple times until you get into the 2200+ range. This will help you dramatically and was definitely a large factor in my college decisions. Try to practice for the ACT and give that a shot because I found that I scored a bit higher by comparison.

Personal statements are definitely something that you should start working on NOW. It’s never too late and the prompts never change. Make sure you get a lot of help from teachers and whoever else you have to read your essays.

Best of luck and let me know if you have any specific questions!

@seniorco2015 The 2030 SAT score was my 2nd time taking it and it was the same score as my first one… Would you recommend not trying the SAT anymore and trying ACT?
