Rising Senior-Decision About College

Hello, its about that time that I start finalizing my college choices but I'm indecisive about what I really want out of my college experience. What kind of major would I like to pursue? (I was thinking about Psychology but I'm gradually starting to lose interest) Should I go to a Big Ten University or a smaller lesser known college? (I'm a little shy..so..yeah) In-state or out of state?

I'm an African American woman with:
-ACT of 25
-3.8 unweighted GPA/4.1 GPA weighted
-#6 out of 306 students
-Took all Honors and AP classes and will again next year (U.S. History-5 & English-4..yay!)
-I've been in some EC's-
-Library Volunteer Sophmore Year- 13 hours
-Key Club- Junior Year and again next year- N/A hours
- National Honor Society Member
-Upward Bound since Sophmore Year
-Particpant in weekend retreat dedicated to better relationships between students( pretty big deal at my school) for 2 years- im not sure if that counts though

My choices were University of Illinois (urbana-champaign) , University of Illinois in Chicago, Michigan State, and my favorite- Ohio State...but im still not sure...
Any help?..please?

Congratulations on your accomplishments! Are any of these in-state for you and can you afford them if they are not?
Have you considered Indiana University?
I think that, ironically, a large campus can be nice for a shy student because there are so many organized activities - all that you have to do is join something that interests you - do it early in your first year - and you automatically have like-minded people around you. There are many choices of things to do, and you can pick what is comfortable for you.

Thanks!! For some reason, I seem to be more attracted big state schools since they seem to be more lively and have a variety of opportunities/clubs/majors etc. I like U of I the most and i feel like UIC is kind of like my little safety school. I’m hoping to gain money through local scholarships & financial aid. I’ve actually considered Indiana University before for a split second…I may look more in to it later…thanks for the suggestion!
