I don't think people applying to colleges from high schools who only offer AP courses to juniors and seniors will be at any disadvantage compared to applicants from high schools who offered AP's to all grades. When you apply, you have to send in a secondary report about your school, and from that, colleges could see that you weren't allowed to take Ap's in your earlier years of high school. But, to the few who actually take AP's to learn something, and not just to up your stats, it could be a disadvantage, because you don't get as much time.

Flex is like Study Hall. You have to take it. Also what's block scheduling? I take 4 classes one day and the next four the other day. I don't get this. Is it like broken up by semesters? Do some schools change major classes like Algebra every semester? Like for one semester you take Algebra and the next you take Pre-Calc. Explain Thanks

holy sh** I can't even comprehend sophomres taking classes like AP Calc BC and Ap Euro. I'm taking the toughest courseload available to me (I am entering freshman) and I still wont be able to take AP classes til' eleventh grade and still just APUSH and French. You guys are amazing...

I don't get how a sophomore could take AP Calc BC - that's just crazy. My friend was is Precalc freshman year and the school wouldn't let him take AP Calc sophomore year because they said it was too demanding for lowerclassmen. AP Euro and AP Art History are the only APs sophomores can take where I'm from unless they're like super-freakishly-advanced people and we don't really have a lot of those...

lol supersonic, at my school, the "super-freakishly-advanced" people used to take ap euro sophormore year. this was stopped bcuz the teachers thought it was waaay too demanding. however, while pretty uncommon, sophomores do occasionally take bc calc atmy school. one of my friends at a nearby school even took it as a freshman. so i guess it just depends...

I'm not a rising sophmore. Instead, I'm a freshman, but since we are listing our curriculum in this thread, I thought I'd share my scheduale.
