I just got a 2240 on the December SAT.
660 Critical Reading, 780 Math, 800 Writing
I want to retake in January to superscore my Critical Reading section. The way I see it i could easily increase my CR to 720 which would superscore to 2300. However, I am worried that my other sections could suffer as I would dedicate solely to Critical Reading.
Does the risk of dropping off in math and writing outweigh the opportunity to superscore Critical Reading. So basically, will colleges look down upon an increased CR but decreased Math and writing
If they superscore, then they’re just going to count the highest subscores.
Unless you totally bomb the other sections, the colleges won’t care. They are evaluating thousands and thousands of applicants. They don’t have time to ponder the meaning of narrow variability in your scores.
Dude. Your scores are fine. If you get rejected from colleges, it’s not gonna be because of your SAT scores, so focus on other things
Not true, that CR score could definitely be better. I would retake. Quite a few colleges don’t really consider the writing score.
