RIT for art/design

Does anyone out there actually attend RIT for art or design? What are your feelings about it? Do you like it?

I've heard negative things about the quality of life and satisfaction at RIT. It sounds like a decent place in many ways. Just wondering what makes people so dissatisfied.

The graphic design program is excellent.
The photography program is excellent.
The School for American Crafts is well regarded.

It’s cold, and it snows a lot. The ratio of women to men is probably something like 1:4.

I went to RIT - BFA program in Medical Illustration. I hate the cold and I’m not a big fan of snow but I really liked the program so the school won out. I have good memories about the program and learned a lot. I’m still using the skills I learned there today plus variety of other art related skills I continued to learn along the way. I think if the program is strong enough the weather will become less of a factor.
