Road to an MBA

Hey CCers

So basically i am a highschool senior who is about to enter Rutgers next year (am interested in business)

Is it over for me though? I mean i want to do something in finance (Investment banking, anywhere basically in finance with a good salary since that is my passion) I want to make it into the big companies like JP morgan and such

But im afraid that being in rutgers has ruined everything already.

What should i do? Should i do well my first year and then try to get into NYU ?

I want to join a good undergrad business school but how will i do so being in rutgers?

I know big firms look for big name colleges but do they look at undergrad or where i dont understand?

Basically what should i do with my situation at hand to get my best shot into making it into the b-world with a good ocupation in a good firm?

I was thinking RU --> Transfer to NYU and idk can i get into stern that way? I mean can i just getinto nyu and stern ? Will i miss out on anythingbeing that i was in rutgers or does it start fresh for me ?

Please help i am so confused

thanks

I was in a similar situation as you and if you want to transfer to another undergrad b-school, then you have to make sure you meet their requirements for transferring. NYU Stern, to be a serious candidate, wants to see that you have or already completed courses in Calculus, Expository Writing, Microeconomics, and Intro to Accounting.

I also know Rutger's Business School is pretty decent if you want to do finance.
