I'm flying in from the west and Rochester and Syracuse both offer cheaper fares than ITH. That said, from which city is it easier to get to Cornell? What's the best (cheapest) bus service from either Syracuse or Rochester to Cornell?

probably syracuse, it's alot closer

What about Buffalo?

Southwest and US Airways both fly there for about $150 - $200 (at least from Phoenix)

The Greyhound bus runs from Buffalo to Ithaca for about 30 bucks, which takes about 3 hrs 30 mins.

syracuse. its closer and there are shuttles

if you hate life then this is the best option

haha, yeah I guess I am just cheap and was looking on Southwest's website (as they don't fly into Syracuse)...but yeah looking at other airlines...syracuse is the way to go

yeah i'm taking the bus from syracuse on move in day. rock on.

I live in rochester, and it's pretty easy to get to Cornell from here. I've been down twice. It's a nice scenic drive.
However, I've not driven down from Syracuse, so I can't say for sure.

Lol... From the title of the thread, for a moment I thought the OP meant if it would be better to go to URochester or SyracuseU. Silly me :P

Syracuse is closer than Rochester and more than half of the trip is via expressway. The shuttle van company is listed on Cornell's website; I think the fare is about $45 each way. A lot of Cornell visitors come through Syracuse, so you may be able to catch a ride back to airport for much less.
