How early can someone apply to a school that uses rolling admissions (HS class of 2006)?
Also, does Michigan-AA do rolling?
It would be nice to get a college out of the way over the summer.

UMich does rolling... get you application out ASAP... the sooner the better! If you send it out sooner you'll likely to hear back quicker too. UMich notified me of their decision within only 6 weeks after I applied in late November.

If you are out-of-state it is especially important to get your application into Michigan early. I have seen some post on cc that they applied in late August--definitely have it in before the end of October for the best chance! Good luck!

yeah. i'm also interested in this. when is the earliest you can send the app in so that it will actually help?

Michigan calls its process "modified rolling" although I can't recall what the modified means, if anything.

Michigan does not send out decisions before the middle or end of October, but you could hear as soon as that if you apply before then and are a strong candidate.

Time for when rolling admission schools start taking apps varies. One of the earliest is Auburn which starts taking apps in June (i.e, June 2005 for fall 2006 admission). Mich, I believe is late August/early September. What you have to wait for is the college's 2006 application form which the rolling admission college will issue and put on its web-site the day it is ready to start taking apps.

I know for USC (South Carolina), I applied in Sept. and got in a week later.
