Which BFA MT schools offer "rolling admissions"?
thanks!

I know Michigan does...I think CCM changed from Rolling to ED, but not sure... I could be totally wrong about CCM.

Otterbein had rolling ACADEMIC admissions. Point Park, too.

lynnm is correct, Otterbein does rolling admissions to the College. But not to the Theatre & Dance Department. Given the small number of people we can accept, we decided a long time ago to wait until we had seen everyone before making offers.

I believe that OCU and BW are rolling admissions. It seems as though the academic and the MT acceptances are done separately, but I cannot remember for sure. I think both academic and MT admissions are rolling.

Point Park, definitely rolling for both.

Ithaca has rolling admissions.

Ithaca may say they have rolling admissions, and we knew people who got rejections a few weeks after auditions, but we also knew many people who auditioned in the fall and didn't hear a word from Ithaca until mid-April. Both acceptances and rejections came out very late last year. I guess that is effectively a deferral, but there was no communication about it from Dec. audition until April 10 letter.

Yeah, I auditioned with the ED kids even though I applied regular decision and they told us that they would probably decide on some of the applicants right away but most people they were going to hold off on until they heard more auditions and it was very likely they would call those applying early decision defer them. I auditioned early December. I got into the school (where I go now) but not the program and I heard from them sometime in February, I believe.

I believe University of the Arts has rolling admissions as well.

bumping this message

Michigan is not necessarily rolling. I have a few friends at UMich and had a conference with a school of music admissions officer last week and was told that they generally wait until April 1st to notify the bulk of their freshman class of their acceptance.

That is true, but I know for a fact they administered some decisions before early decision last year (including myself and a few of my friends). Some kids got in in November, some got waitlisted and got in later, but its not Early/Regular Decision, but a rolling process of admissions. They do wait to notify the majority, but do not necessarily wait to notify all.

PSU has rolling academic admissions and program admission.
