ok so i was pretty sure that northeastern doesn't have rolling admissions but, for some reason, a bunch of people (who didn't apply early) are getting acceptances! and they claim that it's rolling.. but i had NO idea it was..

does anyone have an opinion on this??

im really eager to find out so thanks!

Well, NEU definitely doesn't have rolling admissions, but if people are getting acceptances for RD now, it might be what's referred to as "likely letters" aka early acceptances for applicants that NEU thinks are exceptional candidates.

I know some schools do give early acceptances, dunno if NEU actually does it, so it's just a guess.

Northeastern has rolling admissions for transfer students, at the very least.

directly from their website:

General deadline applicants will receive their admission decision on a rolling basis. Transfer students receive decisions on a rolling basis once all application credentials have been received. If you are a freshman accepted for September entrance and plan to attend Northeastern, you must submit an enrollment deposit (if applicable) no later than May 1.

Yes, but at this point, they're waiting until April, or late March. Everyone will get the same news at the same time.

I have talked to the admissions counselor many times, and I know that I'm a strong candidate for the program. I'm fairly certain rolling admissions would have had to come out by now (...right?)

can someone pls explain the term rolling admissions?? =S

They release decisions not on one particular date, but as and when they are made... Somewhat like in batches
