Rolling Admissions

So, Pitt has rolling admissions.

How long was it before you heard back from Pitt? I'm going to take advantage of the free application at the "Your Day on Campus" program. I'm wondering if the acceptance/rejection letter is going to come back early enough for me to not have to apply to another safety. What was your turnaround? What seems to be the average turnaround?

I have a related question: If a student applies really early (like in the summer at one of the visit programs) and is rejected, can that student still re-apply in the fall or winter if able to present better qualifications?

I applied sometime in June or July (sorry don’t quite remember) at a Pitt Start event. I got my letter of notification sometime in November.

I know others who got theirs earlier, though. Just make sure that your guidance office sends the transcripts as early as possible.

pandem,

When did you get your financial aid letter? Or, when do they usually come? I know you can’t apply for FAFSA until the first…

Honestly I don’t remember; sorry. I do recall that I didn’t turn the FAFSA in until February or so. It was sometime in March-April.

Hey, no problem. I was hoping that getting into Pitt would mean I wouldn’t have to apply to my other safeties, but if there’s no financial aid estimate, I can’t.
