This is so exciting! It gives me a reason to still enjoy visiting the Parent Cafe. Thanks.
So so excited for you!
Congratulations – sending you positive thoughts and best wishes!
Congratulations!!! Wishing you all the best.
YAY
This is the best post
On cc in a while!!!
I have followed your posts but had nothing real to offer. I had to take clomid my first pregnancy. My daughter has a form of PCOs so am hoping when the time comes she can get pregnant too.
I have worked with kids who have CHB and they do well. Michigan has a great pediatric heart center, I am in Boston. I hope this doesn’t happen though! Also I am sure you know but many autoimmune diseases can get better during pregnancy. I don’t know about Lupus but RA and MS can , I hope you aren’t in too much pain. Congratulations and positive energy your way
Congrats! Wishing you only good things on this new adventure!
Congrats!!! All the best
Cute thread name change
Congrats! I know this was something you wanted very much so thrilled for you both.
This is the first thread I visit Just wishing happiness and good health
Congratulations! Wishing you all the best!
@romanigypsyeyes I’ve been out of town and not on CC and I was so confused as to why my bookmark was in the middle of a thread title that was totally unfamiliar … CONGRATS!! So thrilled for you and the Mr. and this great news thread has made me forget about how annoyed I am with the new format.
Sending you good gestating vibes! On days when you feel really sick and tired, I’m sure it’s because your body is making the baby’s ears. That’s what I told myself during my 2 pregnancies 18 and 21 years ago!
Hahahaha. I like that @GnocchiB
I’m so tired, constantly. I can’t be a functional human for more than a few hours at a time before needing to take a nap. It’s quite frustrating. Mr R just keeps reminding me that I’m growing a human and that everything’s ok. Which is helpful but still frustrating!
Honestly, I have no idea how women do this every day plus work plus take care of other kids or the house or whatever. Those of you who do have a whole new level of my undying respect.
I remember reading once that the energy expended while building a baby during the first trimester are the equivalent of 7 hours of hiking per day or something crazy. Explains why a pregnant woman is so tired.
ETA: I can’t find anything that confirms my statement above, though I do remember hearing that 29 years ago. In any case, being dead tired is very common during the first trimester. Hang in there!
Still very early, right? But LOTS of positive thoughts! My wife doesn’t even like the idea of baby showers. She says, wait until you have healthy baby/healthy mother. Superstitious? Not much. Again, MANY POSITIVE THOUGHTS your way!
I just saw the thread name change. CONGRATULATIONS @ROMANIGYPSYEYES!!!
I am SO happy for you. ? ? ?
@Njres yes still very early. I’m 6 weeks today. Because of the fertility treatments though, I started testing early so I’ve known for about 2.5 weeks.
I think we’ll have to do a baby shower because I sincerely doubt I’ll have any energy to do one after the birth. It won’t be until very late though and luckily since my sister and one sister-in-law are done having kids, we have a lot of hand-me-downs coming our way!
When it came to my wedding, I did none of the festivities. No bridal shower, no engagement party, a super simple bachelorette party, etc. But with this kiddo, I’m going all out. I want all the celebrations lol. After thinking for a long time (much longer than we’ve been trying) that I might not be able to have bio kids, I’m feeling quite “extra” about this pregnancy.
@MaineLonghorn. One more CC favor. Any chance the powers to be can get a CC onesie with Baby Romani on the back? ??. (it could become a thing to order in the future. Lol…)
