It seems like it was yesterday we were all following your wedding! Congratulations and healthy wishes coming your way. Having close family and friends are the best.
Congratulations! Also, I think it’s fine that you are telling your close family (as defined by you) - for two reasons:
- When TTC, it feels like you’ve already been keeping it to yourself for months and months, so it’s much harder to wait even longer to share, than if you had gotten pg in one try
and - If you do miscarry, you will want and need their support.

The wedding was 4 years ago. Can you believe it? It feels like simultaneously the longest and shortest 4 years of my life especially since I got sick only a few months after we got married!
Still positive this morning. After trying for so long, I don’t think it’s sunk in. I don’t think I’m going to accept it as real until the fertility clinic calls me with a positive blood result. And maybe not until my first ultrasound.
Having sisters-in-law who are legitimately two of my best friends has been everything through this process. They’ve been with me on every up and down and everything in between. All 3 of their combined pregnancies were complicated and I was with them as much as possible during that time so this is really just a continuation of that. And then my actual best friend who has been with me at a lot of my appointments - leading to a lot of confusion since he is most definitely not the baby daddy lol.
My father is coming down today to stay with us for a few days. Now I have to hide it from both him and Mr R. I think Mr R is starting to suspect but is not getting his hopes up. He’s noticed that I’ve almost completely cut out pop and I had to come up with a plausible excuse for why I’m not taking some of my meds. (I have a list of meds I was to stop immediately upon a positive test.) This is getting trickier but this is a challenge I will gladly take!

I found a digital test yesterday and started at the “Yes+” for a solid 20 minutes. It hit me much harder than seeing the 2nd line.
