i'm a returning student, and yeah, i've got to pick a room.

Wish i could take a look at the floor plan of Ida Sproul so i'd choose west-side room that has a bay view...

Could anyone tell me the floor plan of Ida Sproul,
or certain room # that faces west, i.e. the bay?

Thanks.

the odd #s if i recall correctly… (50-50 chance? lol)

thanks. i guess that’s why most of odd #s are out…lol

I chose IS-807-D. you think that’s west side?
Would 703-D would be west side too?

It’s a bit hard to count the room #s bc of floor lounges…

Try sneaking in one afternoon. I know people who have done this in other buildings before to check the location of the dorm rooms. Just make sure it’s before the SM comes unless you have a friend in the building.

That’s exactly what i’d have done if i were in berekely.
i’m a returning student currently out of state and that is the problem…:(

I was 308 freshman year (not bay facing) and 314 soph year (bay facing)

It’s not an odd/even thing. I think the lower numbers are inside facing up till 310 which is the corner. Switch if you can, the view is amazing.

wow, thanks flutterfly.
807… pretty ambiguous though to call it high or low.

BTW, do you think it’s ok to live on 8th floor?
i lived on 2nd floor when i was freshman

I just switched to 814. Thanks; can’t wait to have a bay view in the morning!

yeah 814 will definitely get you a view. odd floors are the only ones with lounges, but i guess it doesn’t matter too much.

ahh yeah, just choose the rooms on the opposite side of the lounges! hahah that works well enjoy your living arrangements!

@Gray08

Possibly a dumb question, but what does the -D affix stand for (807-D, 703-D).

I think D is for Double.
