Do we ever fill out anything about ourselves like study habits, sleep habits, etc. for PSU? If so, when?

I dont believe you do...

Alas, the process has been completely random lately. If such matching questionnaire were adpoted and carried out, I know several people whose college experience would have been dramatically better--including mine.

Currently, the only thing they inquire is your major, but not even that is taken seriously into consideration.

Wow, that's absolutely ridiculous.

Yea... pretty lame.

Where do they even ask for your major on your housing contract?

in the beginning

but their housing for students with certain interest. They're called Special Living Options and they are designed for you to meet people that share the same interest as you. I was in a SLO and enjoyed the living option. You should check those out.

I wish we did something like that. I could've had a roomate that wasn't a ******* most of the times.

I believe the only thing they try to coordinate is to put first year students together. Besides that, everything else is completely random. Most state schools hand pick roomates so they interests/background/habits match; PSU, for whatever reason, doesn't care. Although you can be a part of a special living option, that only means that your roomate(s) will be majoring in the same field. As of now, I am just glad that I won't be sharing a room with my former roomate anymore--we had absolutely nothing in common. Hopefully I will be extraordinarily fortunate this fall and get someone I can relate to and live with.

Hopefully its a girl. :)

^Yeah...an attractive, NERDY girl : D

Nick, when you find out about your roomate, are you going to call him? Does UM have a questionnaire to match similar students?

I would send him an email first...I might call him. I talked to my roomate over the summer and he seemed pretty cool. I was wrong of course!

To be honest, I really did think he was a cool guy until a month or so.

lol you could have a bad roomate questionare or not...don be *****y about it. Sometimes our best experiences are those which we hate...think about it ;). If there was a question process...housing would take even longer to place students....
