So, one of my friends became an RA in an apartment complex near our campus and wants to pull me in as a roommate. We will have a 2 bedroom full apartment (full bath, kitchen) for just the 2 of us. I am excited about having my own room and everything but is it hard to live with someone who is an RA?

I am a neuroscience major so I usually have a lot of work, does anyone have any experience as to how hard/ or fun it is to live with an RA...

LOL! Good point!

If the RA's cool it's pretty awesome. My junior year I lived with an RA and a few other girls, it was a great living situation, plus I got to live in some housing that I wouldn't have been able to get into otherwise!

It all depends on your RA's personality. If you have one of the uptight ones, good luck surviving.

it doesn't sound like you're gonna be doing a lot of partying or things that the RA would have a problem with. if you're mainly studying/working, why wouldn't you get along with an RA? he won't have any issues with you so it sounds like a perfect match xD

I agree with laserprecicsion. If the RA is the type of guy who doesn't let you work, or will get involved woth your studies, then it's bad. But if he is an applied student, and has a cool personality, it's ok

^^^^ it's a narc that lives in your building to make sure you don't drink, smoke, or have TOO much fun in the room you pay alot of money for.
Some of them can be chill, some can be real dicks. It's an abbreviated term for "resident assistant"
