So I'm going into my freshman year and living on campus. The dorm I will be in is a 4 person single-occupancy dorm. I recently found out that one of my roommates is an RA. Will this benefit me or be a total bummer? I'm no druggie or party animal, but I am a little worried that having an RA in my dorm will be quite restrictive.

I dont think that you’ll face much problems if you are not a drugie or addicted to alcohol etcc… RA’s are students too and I am sure they like having fun too… Dont worry, u’ll be fine :)

Won’t really be a problem. Does depend on the RA though (like anything if its a person you don’t get along well with it can be a problem). I wouldn’t worry about it. Just don’t do anything crazy in a public area of the dorm where you will have to be written up and you will be fine (even then, unless they boot you out or you get a ticket its pretty meaningless).

Depends on the RA, but the RAs I knew were some of the most fun people to hang out with. Don’t worry about it. It’ll be fine.

Wow, your school makes RAs have roommates? One of the perks of being an RA is supposed to be a single.

Anyway, RAs are normal students. I was an RA in college and there were certain things I chose to turn away from, as long as they weren’t disruptive. I supervised RAs for two years as a grad student, and I also know that there are certain things my RAs either overlooked or didn’t notice. As long as you aren’t breaking any policies you shouldn’t worry!
