Roommate request?

<p>My friend and I attend the same school and plan to go to Duke. We'd like to request each other as roommates however, we're not sure if this is feasible since we already know each other and Duke may want to separate us to encourage outside friendships with other freshmen.</p>

<p>I know a roommate request isn't a guarantee of being actual roommates, but can anyone give their input on this? Thanks.</p>

<p>Duke doesn’t separate friends. It’s not like they have any way of knowing regardless. They’ll try to honor your request, and the only reason you wouldn’t get the person is because of spacing issues, etc, not because of some sort of social manipulation on Duke’s part.</p>
