Roosevelt College (ERC) Requirements as a Transfer student

I just got admitted to UCSD for ERC (Roosevelt College)

I was just wondering what "extra" GE requirements I am suppose to fulfill.

I heard there is a language requirement. I completed up to Spanish 2 in high school, does that mean I have to complete any further courses in language? What's their process in order to complete this requirement?

I am not sure if this answers your question but :

[Roosevelt College](http://roosevelt.ucsd.edu/academics/NewTran_Reqs.shtml)

You have to pick three out of the 6 MMW classes. I talked to lady at ERC and she said stay away from 6th one and i forgot which other one because they were writing intensive. Thats it for ge’s. After that its back to regular business.

MMW 2 and 3 are writing intensive, I have noooo idea what that lady was on?!

well thanks for the update. What are the easiest in anyone’s opinion?

[The Making of the Modern World](The Making of the Modern World)
check that out. Was told to take 1,5,6 and to NOT take 2 or 3

Sorry to bring an old thread up, but I didn’t want to make a new one. I just wanted a clarification. Based on what was said above, and this website [General Education Requirements for Transfer Students](http://roosevelt.ucsd.edu/academics/transfer-ge-req.html) , if we complete IGETC we just need 180 total units with at least 60 units that is from upper division classes to meet the GE requirements.

If we transfer to ERC with IGETC completed, the only required classes we have to take to fulfill ERC GEs will be 3 MMW courses? Then we can choose anything we want to fill the remaining 180 units?

So that means we won’t have to take any of their “regional specialization” courses? Or do the upper division level writing class requirement? So if I just finish the 3 MMW courses, I can focus on my major courses and pick any class I want without being bounded to ERC other GEs?

A response will be appreciated! I hope an ERC transfer can clairify this for me. Thank you!

No regional specialization. And no, you can’t no longer take 1 because of budget cut they reserved all the spaces for freshman lol
