Rose Hulman - Anyone have and first hand experience. or know anything about it.

I have been looking at Rose Hulmin. But haven't found any first time experience. Anyone know someone who has been there. Also the price for out of state after grants? How are my chances? 31 ACT 4.2 W How would it compare to Purdue UIUC Wisconson
3.5 UW

Put this on the chances board on accident also

Post on the engineering board - or better yet do a search for Rose Hulman - there’s a lot on Rose Hulman on CC

You might get some help at the Rose Hulman forum (and you can read all the prior posts):

My son is finishing up his junior year at Rose-Hulman and he loves it. He chose RHIT over Univ of Michigan and Rochester Inst. of Technology (both with great scholarships) because he wanted a smaller, very hands-on school and really liked the environment at Rose when he visited. It is a private school so tuition is the same (high!) for in state and out of state students. Admissions are rolling, so I would suggest you apply early for best chances of admission. Their merit scholarships aren’t great, and I know quite a few students go ROTC as an option. Can’t speak to how well they meet demonstrated need?

My dad is a Purdue engineering grad and he also loved his experience there, but even an ardent Boilermaker like him recognizes that Rose-Hulman is an excellent school as well. All depends what you’re looking for in your university experience.

RHIT does a great job in connecting their students with employers, and my son has had good internships every summer. The % of students that are employed or accepted to grad school within 6 mos of graduation is also exceptionally high, even in these difficult economic times.

Good luck!
