I know several applicants were previously admitted into Ross as freshmen. I have also seen that Ross is finally sending out their remaining pre-admit decisions. I got in as a pre-admit today and am very excited. Does anyone know how many freshmen were admitted under the Pre-Admit Program?

Also curious about those who got in the Pre-Admit Program... Where are you from and are you planning to go to Michigan?

I'm from the middle of nowhere in Missouri and am pretty sure I will be going to Michigan. (I put in a deposit at another school because I hadn't heard from Ross and the other school's financial aid is way better. Still, the extra cost for Ross seems worth it.)

Anhydrosis - Let me be the first to offer my congratz on your acceptance. I knew a good amount of people who got rejected this past week from Ross, so I'm sure I don't need to tell you to be happy =)

While talking to Robert Koonce, one of the people in charge of the Ross Pre-Admit and BBA Affairs, at Campus Day, he said they were capping the acceptances at at around 70, but wouldnt fill that number just to fill it (as in, if they didnt find 70 people they really liked, they would admit less). So, figure around 55-70.

I am from Potomac, MD (right outside Wash DC) and will most definetly be going to Mich (nothing beats Ross + Big Ten Sports, lol). Interestingly enough, about 6 kids from LBW (Wharton's summer program) got into Ross and are going (one just got into Penn, and is deciding between Wharton and Ross, since he's my roommate, I hope he chooses the latter).

As I mentioned in a previous post, everyone admitted to Ross each had their own speciality, so I look forward to hearing about yours and I hope to see you at Michigan.

For you (and everyone else admitted to Ross and is going), I hope to talk to you guys (and girls) over the summer before meeting up @ Mich.

Brhchs - I'm not sure I have any great speciality. I took a Financial Planning class this past summer at a local university and an Entrepreneur class this past fall at the same university. (As the only high school student in these classes, I received the highest scores.) I initiated and led a city-wide effort to deliver hygiene kits to Hurricane Katrina victims. (I described this effort in detail in a letter to Ross, as it involved several aspects that one would face in starting a business.) I had decent stats and several ECs, including leadership in a couple of areas.

I wonder if there will be a greater percentage of out-of-staters in Ross versus the other schools. From the threads I've seen so far, it appears that way.

I think you just described your little hook without knowing it =) I would definetly trade some of my accomplishments to have "Led a city-wide effort to delivery hygiene kits to Hurricane Katrina victims". Thats a pretty big deal, and shows some character, so mad props for that.

As for your question - I know of only 4-5 MI residents in Ross right now, but granted, I only have had contact with about 30-40 PA's. Even at that ration, it seems like that will be the case. The OOS/IS ratio's are usually applied to the entire school and are used for general admissions stats. I never thought it would have anything to do with already-in-college applications to specific sub-schools.
