Ross (Pre-Admit) HELP

I just got my e-mail today saying that I got into the pre-admit program for Ross. I'm so excited except I already turned down UMich on May 1 for another school because I knew I didn't want to go to UMich unless I got into Ross. My stats aren't that good and when I was looking at forums, it seemed like a lot of the people who got rejected were better candidates than me, so I figured I wouldn't even get accepted.

So, do you think UMich will still take me if I called them? and what should I do?!?

our son just got an email telling him he is a preferred admit to the Ross School of Business. He was told in early Jan that he was not admitted . 10 days ago we had sent our confirmation in to UM. But today we got the email that he got in, totally unexpected!

akong, the posters on this forum are not part of the admissions office. You should contact the office of undergraduate admissions first thing Monday and ask them. My guess is it is not too late, but you really should have waited to hear back from Ross before sending your official response. Let us know what happens.

They told me I had to go through an appeals process which means sending in a letter explaining why they should accept me again along with a $200 check. If they accepted me, they would take the check and if they didn’t, they would give it back.

In the end, I decided not to do it because they could only see how much financial aid to give me after the process (which takes up to two weeks) and there probably won’t be any money left for me by then.

It’s okay! UNC '13 :]
