Ross Preadmit vs UVa Mcintire

I am interested in doing undergraduate business. I have been pre-admitted to Ross and UVa. At UVa, I intend to apply to Mcintire after my 1st year. I am from New Jersey so both are OOS for me. I prefer UVa because of weather and smaller size. I am looking for a well rounded experience of college life which I think both schools offer. I am leaning towards UVa but saw a similar thread on University of Michigan where most of the comments seem to indicate that if one gets in to the pre-admit program then selecting Michigan is an easy decision.

Anybody have any thoughts about this choice? Thanks!

Go to Ross as a pre-admit.It accepts only 350year. Ann Arbor is a grea city to spend four years in. Michigan is also stronger academically overall than UVA. It is an easy decision!

Always go with the bird in hand.

Thanks! I have already been to Campus Day at Michigan and going to Days on the Lawn at UVa. I will decide after the visit.

pl, McIntire and Ross each have 300-350 students per class. I doubt you will notice a difference in size.

i just visited Ross and i was literally blown away by the building. it’s pretty much the nicest thing in the world. they really dropped alot of money on it and i was super impressed with it. i visited both schools and took tours at both, and i can say that im 95% sure ill be going to michigan next fall. i dont know how hard it is to get into mcintire, but the preferred admission to ross makes things a whole lot better.

^^^Smart man/woman!

My reasoning is if you’re good enough to get in pre-admit at Ross, you’re more than good enough to get in UVA’s McIntire. So, it does come down to Ross vs. McIntire in the end. Since you prefer UVA as a university, then I suggest going there. The only benefit of going to Michigan in your case is a virtual guarantee to Ross.

Thanks everyone for your input. I had spent a day at Univ. of Michigan and loved the city, the campus and the business school (the building is really amazing). Also, I understand that preadmit is a big plus. I am going to UVa Days on the Lawn next week. I consider both the business schools to be top tier. I know I will be happy at either of these schools. I am going to figure out which campus is a better fit for me after the UVa visit.
