Ross

I'm wondering if someone doesn't get preferred admit to Ross, how hard is it to get in at the end of freshman year? About how many people make it? Thanks.

It's easier to get in at the end of freshman year, as compared to the preferred admit scheme. For Fall 2007, there was around a 33% acceptance rate if I remember correctly, which would have probably fallen for Fall 2008. Check the admit profiles of entering classes to get an idea.

Only a few people get in preferred admit. If you don't get in PA, you still have just as good of a chance to get in during regular admission.

Does applying preferred admit(Ross) reduce my chance of getting in Umichgan?

No, it is a separate process from getting into the university itself.

if u didn't get in preferred admit, what would you do your freshman year to increase your chance of getting in?

keep a high gpa (3.5+), write good essays and get involved on campus.

cbpeanut: thank you

how hard could it be to apply ross as preferred admit(for intl student)

I'm not sure whether they take the fact that you're an international student into consideration during the admission process. Usually though, intl students form quite a low percentage of the pre admit class (2% in 2006, 6% in 2007) but we don't know how many intl students applied so can't say anything of the specific admission rate.

Hey I was just wondering can you apply to Ross through the undergraduate school or do you have to wait until the end of freshman year to apply?

you can apply undergrad
check out the website
it is harder to get into ross undergrad than just regular undergrad though
but applying to ross doesn't hurt your chances of getting into umich, it's just still hard to get into ross even if you apply to ross and get into umich
