Roswell Park Cancer Institute - High School Summer Internship 2014

Same. The anticipation has worn off.

So, do you guys suspect that we’ll hear something this Friday?

I’m hoping to hear something by tonight as I’d expect RPCI to keep with their patterns if the acceptances have not all been decided yet. Otherwise, I’ll probably have to give up.

Yeah, same. I’m officially giving up if I don’t hear something tonight. It’s not worth it to compromise the whole summer for this one program.

I haven’t heard anything. I’m probably not going to go to Roswell…if I get accepted, oh well.

Nervously waited all day yesterday, and was without an email, as well. Let the summer job search go on, sadly

It’s the worst when you get a notification for a email and… oh it’s a stupid college advertisement.

Frick on a stick with a brick

Anything…anyone?

I agree, it’s always about summer programs, college, or some silly school announcement and I jump…every. Single. Time. If you’re going to reject me, please, just reject me.

I can’t believe they would have sent out notices to just one school (as it seems). It’s just odd, I’m hoping something went horribly wrong with the system they use…? Wishful thinking!

Terrified to email, won’t do it again. However, I imagine the programs for the college students, graduate students, (or whatever it is that they have) would take priority, but how, even.

Still wishing everyone the best of luck in this program. I’m job searching, however, I’m still really hoping to receive good news, and learn with you people! Here’s to hoping, and hoping for something soon. (I’m horribly optimistic, posting here makes it all a little better, like I’m not waiting for some likely rejection…whoopsies).

Sent an e-mail asking for an update and never received a response. Beyond rude and unprofessional. Most likely will not be attending.

@thefinest‌ When’d you send it?

Med student checking in here who also applied. I haven’t heard back either and by the sounds of this thread, have been given all the same info.

I’m beginning to think that contacting someone at Roswell might be a good idea. From what I understand, this is a pretty decent program. Roswell is well-known, at least in New York. I can’t imagine this is what they intended.

It’s possible they only sent out acceptances, but that seems more than a bit rude, considering everything.

I already attempted to contact Dr. Kisailus by e-mail on Saturday and never received a response. Someone else should step up and try to contact him as well. This is unacceptable on many levels.

I’m a teacher. One of my students applied to this program. He just heard TODAY from the program director. He was accepted into the program! He also received a nice stipend.

So, just to let everyone know, they apparently are still making decisions.

Anyone else hear back from them yet?

Just to respond, I haven’t heard anything. I honestly can’t believe not everyone heard back, it’s insane.
