I was wondering if anyone on here is applying for the cancer research internship for rising seniors coming up this summer.
How do you think the admissions rate will be this year? If any graduates from the program could reveal how their experience was that would be great.

I applied for the program at Roswell. I am sure the admission rate will be similar to previous years, which is to say around 14% or so. Have you applied for other programs as well? I am looking into that today, but Roswell is my first choice. Good luck to you!

Hey Guys! I applied for the program too. Did anyone get an email or anything confirming that they got the entire application? It was mailed in, so I’m not really sure if it got there. And how long are we supposed to wait before we get an answer? Some of the forums from previous years said people didn’t know they were rejected until May? Good Luck to both of you 
Hi Serbear! I did get an email to confirm that I had submitted my application (I applied online), and I got another email to request an email address for one of my references (which I thought I had included, but apparently not). Also, I know that my references have been contacted, so at least it’s in progress! I don’t expect to hear anything from them until at least March or early April at the earliest based on previous threads in this forum. I hope we all make it!
I got another email from the program director stating that my application was in process and we should hear something by the end of February. If that’s the case, it’s much earlier than previous years, as some people indicated they were still waiting into April to hear yay or nay. Let’s hope we all hear by the end of February! The anticipation is killing me!
Hey! I got the same email. But some of the past forums did say that they got that email in early February too, so that might be a general email they send our every year. I don’t think anyone that got accepted commented on the date they recieved word, but I hope they email us again soon!
@Serbear921 Unfortunately, I am going to guess that they will postpone the announcement as it appears they have done in the past.
So in that email they sent out a while back, they said for the “in process” applications they would send out emails as applications became updated and completed. Have any “in process” applicants here on cc gotten an email update yet because I haven’t?
@samsunguser I haven’t received any new emails since the original one. They said we should find out on or around February 28. Hopefully, they stick to that.
Okay thanks! I was just worried as to whether they received the rest of my application materials or not. I really hope they stick to it as well, but past experiences with delays haven’t really reassured me… @buffalo11
I haven’t heard anything else from them yet, but I did find out that they sent a reference form of sorts to a relative who works at Roswell. I am volunteering with the YRoswell Street Team this year, and my advisor for that sent a recommendation for me yesterday as well. Fingers crossed for us all!

Hey I’m an applicant to this program as well. I hope all you guys get in and (based on what some friends of mine have said) the fact that none of us have gotten rejection letters yet is a good sign!

@buffalo11 Yes I’ve applied to 4 total and they’re all really hard to get into so I don’t know if they’re necessarily “alternatives” haha. I was also hoping to find out about this one today because that would have determined whether or not I need to finish this fifth application I’m currently working on.
