My D is VERY interested in Wellesley. She is also a ROTC candidate. Can anyone discuss their experiences of being a Wellesley student and ROTC student?

How do you travel to ROTC classess?
What are the pros and cons?
What are you time committments like?
If you arent in ROTC can you share your views of those students who are both ROTC and Wellesley?

Please share your experiences.

Thank you.

D is not in ROTC but has close friend who was in ROTC for her first two years at Wellesley. The ROTC program at Wellesley is through MIT. Since Wellesley and MIT have cross-registration there is daily transportation available. It does take a while to travel there, however, from what I’ve been told. Maybe 30-40 minutes each way?

The ROTC programs at MIT are comprised of the following area universities/colleges: MIT, Harvard University, Tufts University, Endicott College, Gordon College, Salem State College and Wellesley College. I believe they have Army, Air Force, and Naval programs available.
