Accepted to both schools for Mechanical Engineering.

TCNJ has great ratings and is a bit smaller.

Cost: TCNJ offering 4k off their 35 annually, Rowan offering 20k off their 34k annually.

Does the price make it a "no-brainer"?

I would love some thoughts from people on both schools (Especially if they know the Engineering schools)

Thanks

Four year total of $124,000 (TCNJ) versus $56,000 (Rowan), assuming those are grants (not loans) that you are referring to.

Are any of the grants contingent on college GPA or other factors?

All are contingent on a 3.0 average

From an admittedly non-local vantage point, there does not seem to be any strong reason to spend $68,000 more for one over the other. Do you see any significant differences between the schools besides the price?

I really like the atmosphere at TCNJ, but if you were my kid, I’d push for you to attend Rowan. I believe they have a stronger Engineering program and last time I visited, the lab equipment was better.

Yes, Rowan has a great reputation for engineering…

Both sound great. Its a win-win.
