Anyone audition for this MT program ??
Yes, I did. Any questions? @theaterwork
Yes @Aiming4Success my D is interested in the school and I was just wondering about the program etc. what you thought of the school and MT there:)
Overall the school campus was great. I did a tour before I decided to apply and audition, so I recommend that if you can. I have multiple friends who attend Rowan (also are mt majors) and they love it. I liked the program because you could easily double major and/or have minors with the ba musical theatre program. A lot of their students double major in dance or technical theatre alongside mt. All of the professors seemed very nice and willing to help (which was a big thing for me because I wanted to be in a program that supported me). One thing that they push heavily is having individuality and being able to find work after you graduate. Also they are not a competitive program as in they did not compare their students abilities. Their scholarship opportunities are vast. I was offered an out of state tuition waiver so if i decided to go, I would pay in state tuition. The audition process was pretty laid back, you do create a skit with a group of people based a list of requirements given to you. The dance portion was optional so you perform 1 minute of any dance. The singing was two contrasting song and also a monologue. The program seems great for it being so new. I tried to cover everything, but if you have any more questions let me know. @theaterwork
Thanks @Aiming4Success that’s great to hear. My D just encountered them at SETC. Definitely will audition there in the fall it looks like. Let us know if you end up attending!
