<p>D (ie. my daughter) is on the women's team.</p>
<p>I have a friend who's in the men's rowing team. They are really good, and the women's team kick ass by the way. I lived in the women's crew house over the summer, and an alumnus was part of the Olympic team in 2004 - winning a silver medal. In the house also lived a rower that represented Canada in an international competition in Japan.</p>
<p>There are a couple of rowers and coxes on the UVA male crew team that also were on the National Champion TJHSST team of '84. They are third-years now.</p>
<p>My daughter was recruited but decided not to go there in end because, much though she loves rowing, she wanted a smaller school and for rowing to have a smaller role in her life than it would have in D1. </p>
<p>They are very good people, and very good rowers. The women had a great fall season. Look for strong results this spring.</p>
