Going through the recruiting process, is it normal for the school to offer an Official Visit after you send in a non-binding early action application and having that be accepted?
Thanks.

I think it depends on your profile (height/weight/erg score and AI)
Hopefully you are not mixing up EA application with the Recruiting Questionnaire. RQ can trigger an OV invite.
Usually the coach does not know that you sent in the EA application so most probably your OV invite was not the result of your application. If I were you I would not tell the coach that you have already applied - wait until you get a LL offer.
Normal recruiting process is Pre-read–>OV invite–>LL Offer–>Application or for the best athletes Pre-read–>LL Offer–>optional OV Invite–>Application so it seems you rushed the process. Now if you end up getting a LL offer from another Ivy you may end up in a situation where you have to cancel your first application.

Have you heard of guys getting OV past end of August/beginning of September? I thought most coaches at ivys had filled OV spots by now?..
Do you mean OV offers? I’ve never heard of OVs in August (because both schools need to be in session). Depends on the school, but yes, Ivies definitely offer OV’s in October.
OV is not prerequisite for getting an offer. Even for sports with November early signing date recruiting continues well into November. Top candidates may be sitting on multiple offers. Somebody may blow their application. Somebody may have a conditional offer and failed to make a test score. Somebody may get an offer from non-Ivy that they cannot refuse. Some families may finally decide that Ivy is too expensive. If you are not a top recruit you have to sit tight and hope for the best. I know athletes who got recruited past EA/ED deadline. I know athletes who were repeatedly blown off by the coach only to be approached later. It is a game of musical chairs and the music did not completely stop yet.
To clarify I was referring to getting an offer of an OV to visit in September and early October…
