<p>Hey all,</p>

<p>Just found out my housing arrangement, RVC, as the subject denotes. Now, RVC was around #14 on my list but I'm trying to stay relatively positive about that situation. What I'm more concerned about, rather, is the fact that it's a temporary assignment? Has anyone else got temporary assignments? Does this mean we will, undoubtedly be in the Rez we were assigned to, they're just trying to figure out where? Or does it mean they'll assign us to a permanent room wherever first opens up?</p>

<p>I'm sure I could call McGill, but I'd rather check in with you guys first.</p>

<p>I read somewhere that they intentionally overbook residences every year to account for people deferring/transferring/deciding not to go. From what I understand, people who had temporary housing assigned will be given an updated assignment later on, depending on how many rooms become available etc. There’s a thread related to this on the facebook group - I’d check that if I were you. It seems a lot of people were given temporary status.</p>
