RPI/Albany got in. But no merit aid announcement

Is anyone in the same situation? Please pm me.

I know you enjoy posting your acceptances as a new thread so that everyone can see them and you can feel a sense of superiority, but it would be greatly appreciated if you actually posted them within the already-established threads for the respective programs.

dude chill

Hey yeah I’m in the same situation…anyone know how much merit scholarship RPI usually gives? Or when they usually let us know? Their website is so vague.

^I think you should wait and see the finaid offer from RPI in its entirety. The merit aid means nothing unless it actually lowers your cost of attendance (after need-based aid and workstudy, etc.) – you should compare how much Loan/year and the parent and student contribution per year. Merit aid lowers the need-based aid and usually its only a feel-good term, practically meaning nothing unless it covers the full tuition and everything else.

I noticed you were invited for interview from a few different places other than AMC/RPI. Did you hear from anywhere else after the interview?

Congrats for the AMC/RPI admission.

^^^^^
Thanks Toughyear for your wishes. Like I posted in few other threads, I was accepted from BU, but rejected at UM’ HPM. It was a bummer. I would trade UM for any of the other two admissions since I am from FL.

I am waiting for Baylor to Baylor decision coming out this Friday. I am less than 50% confident.

I have USF/USF Med seven-year admission along with UCF/USF Med admission as well. For the traditional track program, I applied to Harvard, Yale, and Rice. I got accepted by Rice with reasonable merit aid. I will find out about Harvard/Yale tomorrow.

It is so damn confusing as to what I should do here. I am leaning towards USF/USF track if I get rejected at Baylor squared track. If RPI offers me good chunk of money, I may consider RPI/Albany since there is no MCAT req. By next week, I will have a clear idea. I wish that I had applied for U Pitt and PSU/Jeff programs. I declined interviews at SBU/GWU, U of Cin, UAB, U of South Alab, U of Toldeo, SLU etc. I hope those ghosts don’t haunt me later. :)
